One elimination per match
A single-elimination competition needs n − 1 matches to find a winner among n participants: seven matches for eight teams, 11 for 12 and 15 for 16. This excludes third-place and other placement matches. It is not the calculation for a round-robin group.
Byes fill the gaps in a bracket
A full bracket has 4, 8, 16 or 32 places. With 12 teams in a 16-place bracket, four teams advance without an opening match. These are byes. This tool awards them to the highest seeds and displays them separately. A bye is not a played match and should not be given a made-up score.
Decide the seed order before publishing
The first line is seed 1, followed by seed 2 and so on. The bracket separates higher seeds across its sections. If your event requires a random draw, conduct it under the rules announced to participants and enter the resulting order. This preview is a seeded bracket, not a public draw or a sporting ranking.
Check qualifications after a group stage
Sixteen teams in four groups of four play 24 group matches. Sending the top two of each group into quarter-finals adds seven knockout matches, for 31 in total. Confirm tie-breaks and the intended group crossovers first. This standalone template does not import your group standings.

Practical questions
Can I use an odd number of participants?
Yes, from 2 to 32. The generator adds the necessary byes and advances those participants without inventing fixtures.
Can I enter scores here?
This tool prepares and exports a bracket. Use the TournoiFacile application to enter results, update qualifiers and share a live public page.
Is a third-place match included?
No. The bracket only contains the matches needed to choose the winner. Add a match between the losing semi-finalists separately if your rules require it.
