Schedule and Time Management
A good football tournament schedule is the key to success. Here is how to calculate the time required: Match count does not determine the finishing time 4 × (4 × 3 ÷ 2) = 24 group matches Example: 16 teams, 4 groups of 4, 10-minute matches. 24 × 10 = 240 minutes of combined playing time; at least 120 minutes on 2 pitches. Then allow for changeovers, recovery and knockout matches. Check the full schedule before announcing a finishing time.
